Derrell was looking for a league to mingle with people that were hockey challenged like he is but not necessarily follically challenged like he is. The GHL was the perfect place to meet great people and since the league is co-ed he thought there was a very good chance that most of the league participants were not follically challenged. To his delight he found some of his own follically challenged breed but many more with full heads of hair. At that moment the GHL was for him.

Since joining the league that first season 14 years ago he is still hockey challenged, still follically challenged but has met wonderful friends along the way which is what the GHL is all about. Being part of the league executive Derrell feels is wonderful, particularly when things get a little hairy :).
